Our History
Our group founder Edward Lin established the group's first service entity, CEL Accountants, in 2006 after spending 6 years in public accounting industry with reputable firms like HLB Mann Judd. Although Edward started the business from scratch in a small office with two casual employees, he was determined to lead the firm in becoming one of the top accounting firms and he knew he had to achieve it by having competitive advantages over others.
In late 2007, he obtained registration as a migration agent and founded the group's second service entity, CEL Consulting, (MARN 0746521,
MARN 1175515) providing education and migration consultancy services. He has helped numerous migrants settling in Australia and many of them became business owners in Australia and clients of CEL Accountants.
With high standard of professional knowledge and experience, Edward built up a good reputation very quickly and leaded to the firm's rapid growth. Two years after foundation of the business, CEL moved to a much bigger office and in 2016, moved to our current headquarter at Upper Mount Gravatt ready for our continuous growth.
The CEL team also works closely with large accounting and law firms with better resources in order to provide our clients with more completed business advisory service.
In February 2019, we incorporated Les Freedman & Co, an accounting practice with 30 years of operating history in Carina Brisbane as an initiation of our plan in establishing our presence in other areas of Brisbane.
